Jobs Ministry — PATH

The St. Thomas Jobs Ministry has merged with the similar ministry at the Compass Church. The new ministry is named “The PATH Group.”
PATH is a Christ-centered networking and job search support group, created to assist and enable the unemployed, underemployed and misemployed. The PATH acronym comes from Psalm 25. It reflects the need for those in transition to keep trusting the Lord during difficult and challenging times, and to depend on Him totally to teach and lead them down his Path … People Always Trusting Him.
The primary motivation for the merger is to combine resources to improve the overall quality and variety of services for job seekers. As merger discussions progressed, it was clear that both ministries had almost identical missions, objectives and services — targeting the same audience in the same area. In addition, both ministries were in need of additional volunteers. Job seekers have many choices and rather than “competing,” it made good sense to work together.
Walt Reilly (wereilly@comcast.net), Jeff Moran (630.887.6738) and Osi Asimegbe (779.902.0103) are the leaders of the St. Thomas contingent. Additional volunteers are needed. Contact Peggy in the OSJ Office for more information at pgoralski@stapostle.org or 630.355.8980, x123.
