A Note from Fr. Danaher about his Retirement
Dear Parish Family,
In the Joliet diocese, priests are allowed to retire when they reach the age of 70, which I will be in July. I wrote to Bishop Hicks, who finds it hard to believe that I’m 70, but nevertheless he has given me his approval to retire at the end of June. Our new pastor is Father Peter Infanger who is currently the associate pastor of St. Walter Parish in Roselle (click here for a brief introduction from Fr. Infanger). Father Peter will begin his pastorate on July 1.
I will make a more formal farewell during my last weekend, June 25–26. I want to thank all of you for helping me to be pastor for all of you, including those of you who are still die-hard Cub fans.
