Care Pantry Thanksgiving Turkey Drive — Thank you, St. Thomas
The total achieved at this year’s Turkey Drive was 686 turkeys! (386 were donated by parishioners. 300 were purchased). The 686 turkeys were distributed as follows: 45 to St. Nicholas Pantry in Aurora, 18 to St. Patrick Residence, 50 to Fr. Dof’s Parish (St. Patrick in Joliet), 438 to Marie Wilkinson’s Food Pantry in Aurora and 135 to the St. Thomas Care Pantry.
The weather was mild this past weekend as volunteers collected turkeys before and after Masses. There were some new faces and some returning volunteers. As always, we had fun laughing and sharing Thanksgiving stories as we collected turkeys. Thank you so much to our amazing coordinators, Laurie and Paul Ryan, and their family. Thank you to all who donated their time, donated a turkey or donated to purchase a turkey!
