A Deacon? Who, Me?
We all get emails, texts and yes, even phone calls every day. But do you feel you’re getting a different kind of call? The Holy Spirit may be calling you to serve the Church in a way you may not have considered before but may be calling you now. Believe me, if the Holy Spirit is calling, eventually you’ll need to answer! If you’re still reading, that means you’re either curious or interested in the Diaconate — or both! There is a poster on the Diaconate Program in the Joliet Diocese just outside the Main Office. Please take a pamphlet home with you and prayerfully consider this vocation. I can honestly say that being a permanent deacon has made my relationship with Jesus Christ stronger than I ever thought it could be.
